Back in November, we gave you an overview of how your paper integrates nicely with an inbound marketing strategy. This month, we want to dive deeper into two specific areas: newsletters and strategy.

Email HTML exportOur bonus tip briefly touched on how you can export the HTML of your newsletter. Lets talk more in depth about this feature and how to use it with a marketing solution such as Hubspot.

From your Dashboard, visit your Promotions menu and then click on your Newsletter sub menu. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page until you see Export HTML. On your next screen, you’ll see the code to copy and paste into your third party email client. For our example, we’ll be using Hubspot.

Within Hubspot’s Content Menu, you’ll see the option for Email. Create a new email, select a blank template, name your email, and click Create. Next, you’ll want to select the option to edit the HTML source code and paste in the HTML code from It’s that easy!

This process works the same for other clients too, including iContact, Constant Contact and Mailchimp. This allows you to send your paper to your subscribers who have signed up for your emails via other methods such as contact lead forms on your website.

Paper li draft modeMarketing campaigns can be short term (say, just a month or two) or long term (an entire calendar year) and everything in between. Our Content Draft gives you the ability to fine-tailor your message to match your current marketing strategy.

For example, let’s say you are a real estate agency. During your slower time of year you may want to run a short-term campaign to focus on new agent recruitment for your upcoming busy season. With Content Draft turned on you completely control the message before it goes live to the paper or to your subscribers and can select articles specific to the goal of new agent recruitment.

A little known feature of Content Draft is that you can publish your paper on a sporadic schedule; so, while your content will re-curate based on your publishing schedule, you can log in (say, Weekly) and add new stories to a draft based around your strategic focus each week. However, rather than publish your paper at that moment, simply save your edits. Your draft will stay in our system for up to 30 days and you can log back in the following week and add more strategically focused stories at that time.

So if you need to publish on three specific days that month, such as the 1st, 15th, and 30th, this allows you to fine-tune your paper to match your strategy.

And for a bonus tip this month, have you considered creating additional papers tailored to your different Buyer Personas? If you offer multiple products or services geared towards different types of consumers, it may be beneficial to segment your audience into different papers.

Going Pro is the best way to capitalize on these great features. And for only $9 a month, why wait: upgrade your paper to Pro today!
