Hey Publishers!

Have you ever wished you could add your own custom text to your newsletter?
Now you can!
Whether you are treating your subscribers to a full curated front page of content, or sending them a one article digest alert, now you can add up to 1000 characters of text to create your OWN call to action, and (drive traffic!)
  • promote your business
  • offer a deal
  • share a joke of the day…
The Email Newsletter Service tops the charts as our most popular PRO feature: more than eighty percent of PRO users make this the first feature they activate…so, you can be sure that there will be more enhancements rolling out around this feature and newsletter service.
Curious as to what it looks like? Here’s my newsletter, have a look!
Getting started is easy. Simply go to your Paper.li Settings -> Newsletter Service -> Newsletter Layout -> Add a message — and start typing.
I had a lot of fun testing this feature this past week and I am really (really!) excited to hear how it works for you…so tweet me, or leave a comment below.

Hello! I’m trying to determine if Paper.li allows me to make my own comment on each article that’s curated? Is that was Custom Text is? Does that mean my comments can only be 1,000 characters long? Or is Custom Text something different than me making editorial comments on each article?

      Hi David,

Apologies! Your comment slipped past me!

We don’t currently have functionality that allows publishers to rename headlines or add their own commentary around an article. We are looking into some options though and it seems to make most sense if articles were to remain over a period of time on a paper and not be replaced daily with new content.

The custom text I speak is different than per article text. This for the curated email newsletter that publishers send out to their subscribers.

Instead of sending only the content from a paper you can also add a message to the community, include a call to action… whatever you would like.
